Entry requirements

Applications are reviewed on an individual basis. We would be pleased to talk about your application if you have a lot of job experience, credentials from other education programs, or a degree or certification that isn’t directly related to this degree.

What do you need to study with us?

Our goal is to enable flexible and easy degree education so that learning can be as accessible as possible. We don’t have many requirements because of this. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer—we suggest one running the most recent version of Windows. Please be aware that only Chromebooks released in 2020 and after support Jamovi, which is a must for the course’s statistical components if you’re using one.

You can access your course calendar, learning resources, support services, and the online library with nearly half a million texts via ilearn, the cloud-based virtual campus for higher education. You can also create assignments, take notes, and work with other students on your course.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the BSc (Hons) Psychology course, you must have:
  • Passes at grade C or above in three subjects including mathematics at GCSE level or academic equivalent.
  • If you do not have a GCSE or equivalent in mathematics you are strongly encouraged to complete an assessment-free module before the start of your course to substitute this.
Candidates with a minimum of 12 months of relevant work experience may be given consideration. We will request references, proof of your prior professional experience, and a personal statement that shows you can learn the material.

English proficiency

  • IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 80; or equivalent
  • Alternatively, evidence you have previously studied in English, such as a letter to show that the Medium of Instruction was in English, can be accepted.
