The Postgraduate Certificate in Neurodiversity is intended for individuals who want to expand their understanding of this field. The various ways that a person’s brain processes information are referred to as neurodiversity. Many of these variances are referred to as neurodiversity, including dyslexia, autism, and ADHD. An estimated 1 in 7 individuals in the UK are thought to have a neuro difference of some kind. This course focuses on the contemporary difficulties in the education sector, the workplace, and the criminal justice system. An overview of neurodiversity is covered at the outset of the course, including topics like dyslexia, autism, ADHD, and mental health. The next step is to select two modules from the main areas of education, employment, or criminal justice that interest you. The course offers a theoretical and practical understanding of neurodiversity in these three specific domains as well as in general. You will learn about neurodiversity across the lifespan, its classification, the several diagnostic tests available, the supports and obstacles that neurodivergent people may encounter, inclusive research, and much more.

Three modules totaling sixty credits will be completed for this postgraduate certificate. You will learn about neurodiversity and its important theoretical, historical, and cultural facets in your first required module. After that, you will select two of the three elective modules, each of which will provide you a thorough understanding of a particular subject.
Each module will take ten weeks to complete. Your module content will be covered in weeks 1 through 8, and you will have time to work on your module evaluation in weeks 9 through 10.
